Aria Pro II TS400 - Electric Guitar - 1980’s - Japan Made - ‘Thor Sound’

A 1980 Aria Pro II Thor-Sound Limited Edition TS-400 electric guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Made at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, this Aria Pro II is a top-quality instrument crafted with a elegant neck through body and variety of useful switching options. The seven piece maple/mahogany neck through body features sycamore wings, and this guitar has a natural sustain and upper mid range attack that translates well through the pair of Japanese-made T Top humbuckers, providing a beefy tonal platform when plugged in. Via a trio of mini toggles, each humbucker can be tapped for single coil operation, and when combined with the phase switch, various shades of focused mid-frequency quack are at your fingertips. T

On the body, the electronics are 100% original and untouched, with individual coil-split switches, a phase switch, three-position pickup selector switch, Master Volume control, and individual Tone knobs for the pair of T Top humbuckers. Unique to this Limited Edition Thor-Sound model, these T Tops are a Japanese-made iteration of Gibson's classic humbucker of the 1960s-70s. All of the original hardware is intact, and the trio of metal control knobs are particularly clean, with only faint patina on the bridge.

Cosmetically, the gloss Black finish exhibits light scuffing and some small chips from playing war wounds. There are a few light finish scratches on the body as a whole in the clear coat, mostly relegated to the back, with a concentration of shallow nicks at the bass side lower bout. The maple plies of the neck have faint figuring and a smooth ambered gloss finish with only a handful of light marks central to the profile that are not distracting to the palm.
